How soon should I order my cake?
We are currently booking out about three to four weeks in advance, so please book early to ensure we can accommodate your order. If you contact us 1 week before your cake is required please do not be upset if we are fully booked! For weddings or a very large cake the more notice the better. We do not have cakes available instore or same day.
We are now fully booked for cakes for some weeks in January and February and will not be taking any new orders past February. As noted on the "News" page we are closing in late February.
Note, we will be closed over the Xmas break from Saturday 22 Dec until Tuesday 15 January 2013 and will not be taking any bookings during that time.
What do you need to know when I make an enquiry?
Please provide the date of your event, approximate number of guest you wish to feed and the design or theme/idea for the event.
What is my cake covered with?
Your cake can be iced with buttercream or fondant icing depending on the "look" you want to achieve. The majority of our cakes are covered in smooth fondant, with a layer of buttercream underneath.
What flavours can I have?
Our cake flavours include - chocolate, vanilla bean, fruit, lemon, banana, carrot, white chocolate, black forest and coconut.
We also have gluten-free options so feel free to ask if you require a gluten free cake.
Picking up your cake/cupcakes. Please keep the following in mind:
When you come to collect your cake or cupcakes, it is always a good idea to have a large flat area in your vehicle dedicated to transporting your order. Car seats are usually on an angle and not suitable to put a cake. We will be happy to carry your cake out to your car if requested. Putting large cakes on people’s laps or on the seat of your car is NOT recommended. The boot or floor of your car (smaller cakes only) is often the best place for putting a cake. For tiered cakes, you should make arrangements to pick up your cake in an SUV or van. If possible, bring a friend to help.
Drive slowly and carefully, keep your car COLD.
Cake and icing are very fragile. Speeding, going over bumps, slamming on the brakes, a wobbly table, bumping the table, leaving it in the car in hot weather, leaving it in your warm home in hot weather can cause damage that we can not be responsible for. If any of the above occur after you have picked up the cake which results in damage to the cake, we will can not be responsible for any of the damage or consequential damages that you incur.
How do I store my cake?
Keep your cake in a cool area out of direct sunlight until serving.
